StreakUp Pro — Privacy Policy

StreakUp Pro ("we", "our", or "the app") is a habit tracking application developed by Prahlada Nayaka Basavanthappa under Amogh Foundation / Champions Educational & Medical Foundation (R), Chitradurga, Karnataka, India.

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account Information

• Email address — Used for authentication (sign up, sign in, password reset)
• Display name — If provided, shown as a greeting in the app

Habit Data

• Habit names, descriptions, categories, and subcategories
• Completion dates and streak counts
• Frequency settings, goals, custom icons and colors
• Sort order and archive status

Location Data

• GPS coordinates — Captured automatically when you complete a habit (if permission is granted)
• Place names — Reverse-geocoded from coordinates (e.g., "Koramangala, Bangalore")
• Location data is stored alongside your habit completions to help you remember where you performed each habit
• You can deny location permission — the app works fully without it

Photos

• Photos you choose to capture or upload for your habit journal
• Stored locally on your device, not uploaded to our servers

App Preferences

• Theme preference (dark/light/system)
• Notification reminder times
• Onboarding completion status

2. How We Store Your Data

• Cloud Storage: Your habit data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, scoped to your authenticated user account. Only you can access your data.
• Authentication: Handled by Firebase Authentication (Google).
• Local Storage: Photos are stored on your device only. App preferences are stored locally via SharedPreferences.
• No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are used.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the habit tracking service
• To sync your data across your devices
• To send password reset emails (via your configured SMTP or Firebase)
• To send local push notifications (reminders you set)

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties.

4. Data Sharing

Your data is only shared when you choose to share it using the app's share feature (e.g., sharing a streak card on social media). The app does not automatically share any data.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — For user login (Firebase Privacy)
• Cloud Firestore — For data storage (Google Cloud Privacy)
• Google Maps Geocoding — For converting GPS coordinates to place names

6. Your Rights

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Export: You can export all data as CSV or PDF from Settings
• Delete: You can delete your account and all data from Settings → Delete Account
• Permissions: You can revoke camera, location, and notification permissions from your device settings at any time

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

StreakUp Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

9. Security

We use Firebase's built-in security features including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firestore security rules that restrict access to authenticated users only, and secure authentication via Firebase Auth.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
